A Starship Casual

During the summer of 2020 I discovered that Jeff Tweedy (the lead singer of the band Wilco) and his family hosted a variety show of sorts on Instagram. They all gather in the living room. Jeff’s wife Susan films and hosts while Jeff and their two sons Spencer and Sammy talk about all sorts of random topics and play music.

One night, Jeff was telling a story and at one point mentioned that he envisioned “the deck of a starship casual.” I don’t recall the context, but he was definitely referencing the deck of the Starship Enterprise.

Long story short, I repurposed the phrase that night into this playlist. It’s filled with all sorts of songs from records I have been listening to during the summer. Enjoy!
